Cattle station manager and artist Melynda Rogers alongisde the towering three-metre statue of Joshua. Ms Rogers was commissioned by the Jericho Tourism Association to build the statue with a grant from the Regional Arts Development Fund. "I think the men from the local area respect the fact that it's a lot of hard work to get (the barbed wire) in those shapes because they work with barbed wire as well," she said. She says she used three kilometres of wire from Boongoondoo Station, north of Jericho, to build Joshua.
